Girls Tennis celebrated Senior night last week and had a big 6-1 win vs. Shea High School. Congratulations ladies!
On Friday, HOSA-Future Health Professionals members attended the Fall Leadership Conference at Johnson and Wales! Brady Scanlon and Samantha Duarte led a suturing workshop, Valentina Mancini ran the recognition workshop, Sadie Robitaille and Ava Pilderian ran the leadership workshop and Ella Werbecki helped with the Teamwork workshop and running the day as part of the RI Executive Council. Even our advisors ran workshops, Mr. Wentworth ran pin design and Coach Reed ran anatomy bowl!
In the afternoon, students got to watch the documentary “Taking Care” that documents Seth and Lauren Rogen as they navigate taking care of Lauren’s mother who has Alzheimer’s disease.
Last week, six Scituate senior athletes competed and participated in activities at the Rhode Island National Guard Base. This event was hosted by the Rhode Island National Guard and Rhode Island Interscholastic League. Students worked with other athletes from around the state!

Students in Ms. Antonelli’s English 10 Honors class spent last week in Socratic Seminars analyzing one of their summer reading books, Educated. The discussions were sophisticated and impressive!
Scituate's National Honor Society members invited all SHS students to make greeting cards last week that will be distributed to children through the charity, Cards for Hospitalized Kids.
Last week, Rhode Island College (RIC) invited SHS students to a special interactive discussion: “Gen Z Rising: The New Era of Political Power and Activism." where Secretary of State Gregg Amore will offered opening remarks for the event followed by an interactive panel discussion.
Last week, the Varsity Volleyball team won in a nail biting match up against Johnston, coming down to the last few points, and the JV Volleyball team traveled to Johnston and won by shut out, 2-0. Great job Spartans!
Students in the Academy of Entrepreneurship traveled to Bryant University last Friday to compete in a Entrepreneurship challenge. Students did a fantastic job presenting!
SHS students had the opportunity to see the incredible Lyn Dillies perform her show, "Your Vote is Magic" today! Students were impressed by her magic tricks, and enjoyed learning about the history of voting. We are very thankful for the support of the Scituate Lions Club of RI and all of their help with making today possible.
On October 9, Polaris MEP and the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association - RIMA once again celebrated Manufacturing Month with an event that offered students a “taste test” of manufacturing careers.
Scituate High School students attended and the trip influenced their learning pathways and 11th and 12th graders learned more about post-HS opportunities!
Our Football team has played some incredible games. They remain the one and only team undefeated in Division IV after their 35-15 win over Davies!

Boys Soccer has been working hard this season, and remain undefeated! Last week, they took the win 5-0 over Narragansett, and during their pink out game against Westerly they won 2-1 and raised just about $200.
